Computer Science and Technologymajor was officially approved by the Ministry of Education in January 2006. It passed the comprehensive professional evaluation by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education in 2017 and was rated as a "Star Major" for independent colleges in Jiangsu. In September 2018, it began enrolling in Wuxi and was simultaneously designated as a Key Construction Major by the Wuxi Municipal Education Bureau. In 2019, it was approved for the Wuxi Municipal Information Technology (IoT) Support Fund Project. In 2021, it was designated as a Jiangsu Provincial First-Class Major Construction Site.In 2025,itwas approved as a computer science popularization education base in Jiangsu Province, marking the beginning of a new process of professional development.
