Wuxi University has taken the lead in joining forces with top enterprises and research institutions in the field of Internet of Vehicles, such as Jiangsu Tian'an ZhiLian Company, Wuxi Chelian Tianxia Company, Wuxi Internet of Vehicles Group, Bosch, and the Traffic Management Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security, to establish the School of Internet of Vehicles Industry. It has successfully been approved for four provincial and ministerial-level industry-education-research integration platforms (Jiangsu Provincial Key Industry College, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Specialized, Refined, Unique and Innovative Industry College, Jiangsu Provincial Key Base for Industry-Education Integration, and Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Multi-modal Perception and Control for Vehicle-Road-Cloud Integration) and three municipal-level industry-education-research integration platforms (Wuxi Municipal Key Laboratory of Internet of Vehicles, Wuxi Municipal Industry-Education Integration Community, and Wuxi Municipal Innovation Consortium for Vehicle-Road-Cloud Integration). Among them, the Jiangsu Provincial Key Internet of Vehicles Industry College is the only provincial key industry college in Wuxi City; the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's "Specialized, Refined, Unique and Innovative" Internet of Vehicles Industry College is the only one among the 144 nationwide that focuses on the Internet of Vehicles.

Since 2023, it has participated in formulating 13 Internet of Vehicles-related standards, carried out over 30 scientific and technological research projects in cooperation with enterprises, and the research and development funds have exceeded 45 million yuan, truly promoting local economic development and facilitating the innovation and upgrading of regional industries.
