To proactively adapt to the requirements of higher education development in the new era, continuously deepen educational and teaching reforms, optimize the talent cultivation system, and improve the quality of professional development and talent cultivation, the School of Internet of Things Engineering convened a meeting on December 6th to revise the undergraduate program talent cultivation plans. The meeting invited several senior experts from renowned universities and industry enterprises to form an expert review panel to provide guidance and review on the revision of the talent cultivation plans for the school's four undergraduate programs. Dean Wang Quan, Vice Dean Ma Li, and heads of each program attended the meeting, which was chaired by Vice Dean Ma Li.
First, Dean Wang Quan expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the experts for their guidance and emphasized the importance of talent cultivation programs. He pointed out that talent cultivation programs are the core of undergraduate education and teaching. Facing national strategic needs and the rapid development of industrial technology, majors must keep pace with the times, scientifically formulate and continuously improve their programs. He hoped that the participants would offer their opinions to further clarify the characteristics of each major and the curriculum system, ensuring the scientific and forward-looking nature of the talent cultivation programs.
Following this, the heads of each program presented their findings to the expert panel, focusing on their respective program's training objectives, graduation requirements, curriculum design, practical teaching components, unique strengths, and the research and considerations undertaken during the revision process. The expert panel carefully reviewed the training program documents for both programs, engaging in in-depth questioning and discussion on key issues. They also provided guidance on the talent training programs for each program, taking into account engineering education accreditation principles, industry technological trends, and talent market demands. The program heads stated that they would carefully consider the experts' opinions and suggestions to further improve and optimize their talent training programs. The college will use this meeting as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation and exchange with external experts, continuously enhancing the college's educational level and overall strength.
The successful convening of this symposium has pointed the way for the revision of our college's talent training program. The college will further integrate suggestions from all parties to revise the talent training program, striving to achieve new breakthroughs in curriculum system, teaching methods, and practical training, and jointly promote the improvement of the quality of applied talent training in the college.
